What to Expect: Appointments, Fees, Policies.
Initial Appointment
At your first appointment, Dr. Attar will spend one to two hours with you analyzing your chief complaints and symptoms and delving into your medical and health history. He’ll consider everything from your sleep, exercise, and dietary habits, review past lab reports, and suggest relevant future testing. He’ll also ask you about your health goals. All of this helps him understand you as a person and a patient. By the end of your first appointment, Dr. Attar will come up with an initial plan to get you started on your path to optimal health.

Second Appointment
In this 30-to-60-minute appointment, Dr. Attar will review his initial recommendations and discuss any improvements in your symptoms. He’ll review new lab results, explaining the connections between any abnormalities and symptoms. He’ll then update his recommendations to balance hormones and correct any nutrient deficiencies and/or metabolic abnormalities. He’ll also recommend appropriate changes to your daily routine and suggest healthful foods and nutritional supplements. He’ll share his recommendations with you in a detailed summary.

Follow-up Appointments
Any follow-up appointments are scheduled depending on your needs. Dr. Attar strongly believes in educating patients to take care of their own health. Six-month or yearly check-ups work for many patients. During a follow-up appointment, Dr. Attar will review any new lab work and your health in general

Fees are the same for both in-person and telehealth appointments.
Office Policies
Insurance
Dr. Attar believes in working directly for his patients, not for insurance companies. This means he doesn’t accept in-network insurance. Patients who have out-of-network coverage can still be reimbursed by their insurance. Company. Patients without insurance find the care Dr. Attar offers is well worth the cost.

Check with your insurance company about your coverage. The office will be happy to supply a copy of your super bill to file with your insurance following appointments.

If you have a Health Savings Account, feel free to your HSA to pay for any appointments and/or treatments.
LAB REFERRALS: In general, insurance companies cover most lab testing. Again, check with your insurance company.
